"The Impact of “the Native Factor” on the Learners’ Motivation and Attitudes Towards EFL Classes"
In this talk, the speaker intends to study the positive aspects of being a non-native teacher of English as a foreign language. Some of the ambiguous questions on nativeness vs non-nativeness will be answered based on both research and experience:
Do linguistic problems impair teaching effectiveness?
Does “the native factor” have any connection with the learners’ motivation and involvement?
What language-learning strategies (LLS) are used by non-native teachers to achieve and maintain higher standards of English?
What are the key differences in teaching behaviour between non-native teachers and native teachers?

"Using digital resources for motivation and engagement"
As we sail through the 21st century, technology is becoming more and more predominant. Tablets are replacing our textbooks, and we can research just about anything that we want to on our smartphones. Social media has become commonplace, and the way we use technology has completely transformed the way we live or lives.

This widespread adoption of technology has completely changed how teachers teach and students learn. One of the major challenges English teachers face these days is how to use digital tools to increase learners’ motivation and engagement. In this talk we will be looking at a few ideas and tools that can help boost students’ motivation and utilize the power of the digital devices in a positive and productive way.

"Learning or fun?"
It’s a mistake to separate learning and fun because these are practically identical concepts. Many people think that the opposite of playing games is hard work.  But playing games also can be hard work. The only difference is that players enjoy it as they make interesting decisions and know what the goal is. In my talk we’ll see what English teachers can learn from hard games.

"Motivating Learners to sound more natural in conversations: practical activities."
